My research focuses are Computer Vision, Image Processing, Deep Learning and Robotics. Currently, I am leading a research team, newly established from April 2022, consisting of students from diverse nationalities, including Japan, India, China, and Vietnam. Our team maintains strong connections with research groups in Vietnam (FPT University, HaUI, HUST and Phenikaa University). 

I am looking for motivated International Ph.D. students, Master Students and Exchange Students working on the following topics: 

• Image & Video Processing and applications. 

• Computational Light fields image, immersive Imaging. 

• Computer Vision for Robotics (Visual SLAM, View synthesis, underwater image enhancement, 6D pose estimation, depth estimation, etc.).

• AI Safety.

• 2023/03/06: Adam Agren from KTH Royal Institute of Technology will join our laboratory for a semester (from April 2023) as an exchange student. 

• 2023/03/20: Nguy Thi Lan Anh and Loan Bich Tran - two Vietnamese students (from HUST) will join our laboratory as research-exchange student for 6 months (started from April 2023).

• 2022/07/10 - 2022/07/24: I have a business trip to Vietnam. The purpose is to connect SIT with Hanoi University of Science & Technology, Phenikaa University, and FPT University. 

• 2022/07/06: I will attend IEEE ICDL 2022 at London, UK from September 12 - September 15 to present our recent works in Immitation Learning.
