The 8-page RAC appeal form contains detailed information around the appeal and the process. Please ensure you read through this information carefully.
There are separate appeal forms for undergraduate students coded RENN, undergraduate students coded SUPP, and postgraduate students. Be sure not to use old forms, as doing this may result in your RAC application being declined. When you submit your appeal, keep a copy of your appeal form and any supporting documentation.
There are different deadlines for your appeal, depending on your faculty.
COMMERCE 7 January 2024
ENGINEERING 3 January 2024
HEALTH SCIENCES 2 January 2024
HUMANITIES 3 January 2024
LAW 2 January 2024
SCIENCE 7 January 2024
Your appeal form and supporting documents must be saved as a single PDF file. I Love PDF is a free PDF combining tool that you can access. Staff at the Student Systems Support Office have compiled this helpful resource to guide you through how to submit your RAC application using Peoplesoft Self Service. Note, you will be required to login to VULA, to access the resource.
Note: these due dates will not be extended. No appeals will be accepted after the stipulated date set by the faculty.
A few things will happen after you've submitted your application:
The Student Records Office (SRO) will send your appeal to the Faculty RAC to which you have appealed. Don't include your UCT and matric results in your application.
The RAC will consider your appeal.
The RAC will write to you to inform you of their decision.
