Welcome to the RAC-YOUR-BRAIN portal, compiled by the team at the Academic Advising Initiative (AAI). This is a support resource to assist you in determining whether you are at risk of not being readmitted academically in 2024.

Objective:

The aim of the RAC-YOUR-BRAIN campaign is to support you in preparing for RAC appeal processes.

Outcome:

By the end of engagement with this portal, you will have clearer insights on:

Being proactive and getting ahead of the RAC period
How to approach the RAC appeal form
How to submit the RAC appeal form, and
What the mechanisms of support are available to you before, during and after the RAC period.

This site is for students who:

are unsure about whether they will be allowed to re-register in 2024;
have an academic standing of 'not eligible to continue' (RENN) at the end of 2023;
have an academic standing of 'eligible to continue if SUPP/DE passed' (SUPP) at the end of 2023;

This site is also for members of the UCT community who are curious about the readmission appeals process generally.
