Program Introduction
This COIL program offers students an opportunity to participate in an international online learning experience with students from a partner university. COIL, which stands for Collaborative Online International Learning, connects students from different countries through shared classes, group discussions, and cross-cultural collaboration.
This program will be conducted in collaboration between Dr. HOOI Carol Lai-Wan from the College of International Management at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University and Dr. Mai Pham from the Department of Business Administration, School of Business, Soochow University.

Program period: October to November 2026 with a total of 7 online sessions
Weekly Schedule
Week 1: October 5, 2026
Week 2: October 12, 2026
Week 3: October 19, 2026
Week 4: October 26, 2026
Week 5: November 2, 2026
Week 6: November 9, 2026
Week 7: November 16, 2026
Class time: Monday, 9:35 AM–11:15 AM (Taiwan Time)
Format: Online synchronous class with Japanese and international students from more than 100 countries
Language of instruction: English
Program Task: Students will work on a real organizational case study through collaborative teamwork and intercultural communication. Each team will include two members from each university. At the end of the program, each team will create a presentation to share its findings with the class.
Participants: Undergraduate students are preferred. Approximately 20 Taiwanese students will be selected to participate in this program.
Certificate: Students who complete the program will receive a certificate of participation.
Credit Fee: Students do not need to pay any credit fees to participate in this program.
