PHABCon 2026 brings together professionals, students, advocates, practitioners, and animal welfare champions to explore the transformative relationship between humans and animals. Through conversations grounded in research, practice, and compassion, the conference highlights how human–animal interactions can contribute to healing, wellbeing, and community care.

The Philippine Human–Animal Bond Conference (PHABCon) is a platform dedicated to promoting meaningful discussions on the role of human–animal relationships in health, therapy, education, workplaces, and society.

This year’s conference centers on the theme:

“Healing Connections Between Humans and Animals”

PHABCon 2026 aims to explore the healing potential of human–animal interactions by showcasing evidence-based applications in clinical and workplace settings, while emphasizing the ethical care and welfare of animals involved.

Participants can expect insightful talks, interdisciplinary discussions, and opportunities to connect with experts and advocates working in animal-assisted services, mental health, healthcare, education, and animal welfare.

Conference Objectives

PHABCon 2026 aims to explore the therapeutic and healing potential of human–animal interactions by showcasing evidence-based practices in animal-assisted services across clinical, educational, community, and workplace settings. The conference seeks to promote ethical, welfare-centered approaches for animals involved in care work while fostering interdisciplinary collaboration among professionals, students, researchers, advocates, and practitioners. Through meaningful discussions and shared experiences, PHABCon hopes to strengthen compassionate, inclusive, and wellbeing-centered communities.
