Spreadsheets

(1) Introduction to Spreadsheets

• Task- Assume the individual for whom this budget spreadsheet was developed was notified of a 15% salary cut.  Make reasonable adjustments to the monthly values column such that the budget exactly balances once more.  Justify each adjustment using the comment feature, and post the file so that the comments show.

(2) Spreadsheets in the Curriculum

(3) Creating Spreadsheets

  • Task - Create a new spreadsheet file on a topic of your choice from scratch.  Your worksheet should include a variety of calculations and features as illustrated in the video. 

(4) Calculations

(5) Bar, Column & Area Charts

• Task - Recreate the bar, column and area charts on  File - Graphs-1. Create a bar, column, OR area chart of data relevant to your interests or to what you teach  on the final tab. 

(6) Stacked & Pie Charts and Scatter Plots

• Task - Recreate the charts and plots in Graphs sheet - 2.  Create a stacked column, pie charts OR scatter plots of data relevant to your interests or to what you teach  on the final tab.
