I am a BBA graduate with a major in Finance from IBA, Dhaka University. I hold a Masters in Economics from East West University. Additionally, I was enrolled in Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology's Master of Science in Math where I did a few math courses.
I have 3 years of experience leading large-scale data collection at The World Bank and Yale Research Initiative of Innovation and Scale. I believe my fieldwork experience was what helped me prove my case as a "potential" Economist. You can learn more about my research interests here.
I applied to 11 programs. My GRE score was 163Q 161V, after 2 attempts. The minimum I wanted was a 165 in Quant since I was aiming for higher-ranked schools. But I was too close to the deadlines to try again.
What would I do differently? I would have started GRE prep earlier and not self-selected myself out of the programs I wanted to apply to. I ~maybe~ could have gotten into a couple of programs I thought was impossible with my profile.
