Our summer swim team focuses on the individual swimmer improving their competitive strokes. We are centered on teaching discipline, sportsmanship, and stroke refinement in a competitive setting. This means that all swimmers on the team must compete. The team space is very limited and we no longer have space for kids who want to just improve their strokes. The waiting list is filled with those who are anxious to compete and be a part of a team.
Meets are an important part of the season. If you sign-up for a meet and need to cancel last minute (we understand life happens), please let us know! The relays are very difficult to plan if we do not know who will be attending the meet. Work with your coach to help these meets run smoothly. Come talk to the coaches after practice with questions.
We will be using e-mail and our web-site (www.pgswimmers.com) to communicate with parents. If you need to communicate with the coaches, please do so through email or after practice.
Age categories are based on the age of child as of June 1st.
Discipline problems will be asked to go into the office while their parents are called to come and get them. A meeting with the coach is necessary before they can come back to practice. The pool management has asked the swimmers to stay out of the building, if they need to go inside please check with the coach first.
Please ask your swimmer(s) NOT to place their belongings on the blue carpet during practice. The pool maintenance crew cleans during our practice time. They can place their belongings on benches or cement.
