We invite proposals for presentations and poster sessions that explore how communities respond to uncertainty, conflict, change, and possibility. Proposals may approach the conference theme from educational, linguistic, cultural, historical, political, environmental, artistic, activist, or community-based perspectives.
We welcome submissions that examine peace not only as the absence of conflict, but also as an ongoing practice of building relationships, addressing injustice, sustaining dialogue, and imagining more inclusive futures. Presentations may focus on local, national, transnational, or global communities, and may draw on theory, research, classroom practice, community work, personal reflection, creative practice, or collaborative projects.
Students are encouraged to submit proposals, including work developed through coursework, independent projects, club activities, volunteer work, or community engagement.
Possible areas of focus include, but are not limited to:
Peace education and language education
Community building and intercultural understanding
Migration, displacement, borders, and belonging
Youth engagement, civic participation, and activism
Conflict transformation, dialogue, and nonviolent communication
Local knowledge, cultural diversity, and community resilience
