The Scott Craven Mentoring Program provides support for military kids who have a deployed parent through mentors from Moody AFB, our School Counselor and our Military and Family Life Counselor. While in the group, the students meet other military kids going through similar challenges. They also take part in breakfast along with arts and crafts activities. When the child’s parent returns home, a “doughnut ceremony” is enjoyed with the returning parent and all members of the program. At the end of the school year, every student is invited on a field trip where fun activities and lunch are planned and parents are also invited to attend.
