While there isn't a whole lot to do in preparation for volunteering for PFTAs, there are a few things that we recommend you do in order to ensure you have the most comfortable and enjoyable time while volunteering
Make sure you know what time to arrive for PFTA- We always start PFTA 3 hours before gametime. We do our best to get the information out to the volunteers by utilizing Facebook posts on the PTA websites, group texts, as well as automated emails sent through our signup genie if you log your spot ahead of time. When in doubt, visit https://gofrogs.com/sports/football/schedule and see what time the game starts. Whatever time that is, come 3 hours prior to that to the school and we will be there.
Watch the weather- Texas weather can be unpredictable and extreme, so please look to see what the weather is doing so you know how you should dress. We park cars regardless if it is hot, raining, or cold. The better you prepare for the weather, the more fun you will have!
We do PFTA in the back of the school. Please come down Shirley St. and pull into the parking lot behind the school. Don't be surprised if you get stopped by a fellow volunteer when you pull up to the parking lot. We are checking to see if you are a volunteer or someone who wants to park at the school for the game. Just tell them you are a volunteer and they will let you thru. Once in the parking lot, please park along the east fenceline near United Baptist Church is. After you have parked, come to the entrance of the parking lot (the star on the picture) so we can give you your assignment.
