Our annal books sale is our main fundraising event. In years past, usually in October, we host a days-long book sale at the Pendleton Convention Center. Last year we sold more than 5,000 items and raised over $14,000 to support the Pendleton Public Library. Arranging the annual book sale is a huge organizational feat, and we are immensely grateful for the community's steadfast support every year. We wish to thank all the dozens of volunteers who make the PFOL book sale such a success, including the Blue Mountain Community College Men's Basketball Team.
2025 Book Sale
The dates for the 2025 Book Sale were Thursday 10/23/2025 - Saturday 10/25/2025. As usual, we held the Book Sale at the Pendleton Convention Center. We are happy to report that the sale was one of our most successful in our history, with us surpassing the amount of money we raised for the library last year by several hundred dollars. We wish to extend our gratitude to all the dedicated volunteers and financial contributors who made the sale a success!
2026 Book Sale
We are shaking things up with our annual book sale this year! First, the dates for this year’s sale are Friday 10/23/2026 - Sunday 10/25/2026. Please mark your calendars!
Also, please note that we are at a new location this year: The Pendleton Recreation Center, right next door to the library.
Our early bird sale will be held on Friday evening (as opposed to the usual Thursday evening), and the sale will be open all day Saturday and open until late afternoon on Sunday. We hope these new hours will help make the book sale more accessible to those who are working during the weekdays.
We’ll be bringing you additional updates regarding the 2026 PFOL Book Sale throughout the year. Stay tuned!
