From January to October 2025, I have been serving as the national social science expert for the EU-funded project Value Chain Analysis for Development (VCA4D). In this role, I assess social inclusiveness and social sustainability within the value chains of wheat, maize, and sunflower production in Moldova.

From October 2020 to March 2023, as a Humboldt Research Fellow, I conducted research on the project “Primary Education, Nation-Building, and Cultural Clashes in the Border Areas of the USSR, Romania, and Poland in the Interwar Period (1918-1940)”.

From October 2023 to December 2023, as a Research Fellow, I conducted the project “Assistance Through Control: Deconstructing the Binary Social Representation and State Policy Towards the Homeless in Post-Soviet Moldova.”

Academic Fellowship Program – Open Society Foundations, Chișinău, Moldova

From 2010 to 2013, I managed the program in Moldova in collaboration with four humanities departments across two universities, involving 12 fellows and five international scholars. The program aimed to enhance academic performance, foster international cooperation, and strengthen commitment to democratic values.

From September 2016 to August 2017, I led a research with the support of the OAK Foundation scrutinizing the extent, the driving factors and the impact of homelessness in Moldova.

Mapping of Wheelchair Provision and Usage in Moldova

From September 2019 to February 2020, Petru Negura co-led a national study on Moldova's wheelchair public service in partnership with MUSE UK, University College London (UCL), and the Free International University of Moldova. The study assessed the current state of the service, identified gaps, and provided recommendations to improve its quality.
