About Me

Hello!

My name is Janelle Marie Petrow. I live in Park City, Utah with my husband Karl and two daughters: Jackie and Paisley. We also have a small black dog named Moses, who is very handsome but not very well behaved. I have lived in Park City for the past 3 years, but I am originally from Massachusetts. I also spent one year living in Maysville, Kentucky so we could spend time closer to my husband's job. I love running and hot yoga. I am training for my first half-marathon in January. I also enjoy volunteering with the PTA, the Girl Scouts, and my local MOPS group.

I have been a registered nurse for four years. My work history has been spent primarily working with elders. I love listening to their stories and hearing their jokes. In particular, I have gained a lot of experience working with their families. My dad served in the Coast Guard and one of my career goals is to serve veterans in some way. I have experience in long term care, rehabilitation, home health, and hospice nursing. I have experience caring for children and adults.

I decided to pursue an advanced nursing degree because I believe that it is my life's purpose. I feel like I would be doing a disservice to myself and my community if I didn't make myself as helpful as possible. I am a very devoted student. I am passionate about learning. I received high honors for my associates degree in nursing. Now that I am working on my master's degree, I am striving to attain that same level of achievement. I pride myself on being an exceptionally quick learner who is driven to succeed. I look forward to the day when I can serve others as a nurse practitioner.
