e-filing: We charge the same Tax Service Fee if you do it by mail, E-File check /DD. By mail, you sign and mail out 2 envelops then once the IRS receives your information, they will mail you a check or place your refund to your bank account. This takes about 8 -12 weeks, or under special circumstances take 3 months or so. For E-file RTDD, We use a third party bank that sends your forms through a secure email transmission to the IRS. The IRS will get your information within 24-48 hours of you signing your return, and within 15-21 days, (or longer if special circumstances arise) the IRS deposits your refund into your bank account or we can print you a check from the third-party bank. The Third-party bank deducts a fee from your refund for this e-filing service offered. E-filing is an optional service with an additional cost. **It's not a Rapid/Express Loan or a 100% guarantee you'll get your money by a certain date. The IRS has the final say on your refund by mail or e-filed.** If you have government debts, student loan debts, or are behind in child support payments, the IRS can keep your refund to pay owed debts. They will send you a letter with further explanations for adjustment made.
Direct Deposit vs Electronic Filing (e-file): Direct Deposit means your bank routing and bank account are added to your tax return so that your refund(s) can be deposited into your bank. Direct Deposit can be used for both: mailing or e-file. E-filing is an addition cost service we offer if you don't want to mail your taxes by mail (see RT e-filing for more information).
