Last year, 288,000 pets were abandoned across Spain, the highest number in Europe, which means 800 abandonments per day, 33 every hour, and one every two minutes. Many animals arrive famished, covered in fleas, and sick, so terrified that they flee from anything unfamiliar. What can we do to improve this situation?
