Hello there! I'm Barbara Arnott, a dedicated 17-year-old dog trainer and Guide Dogs of America service dog puppy raiser. Delving into the world of canine companionship and training since the age of 12, my journey has been marked by invaluable experiences. I've had the privilege of shadowing accomplished dog trainers, participating in diverse clinics, and attending seminars that span the spectrum of dog behavior, training methodologies, and even nutrition. Currently a student at Island High School, I am passionately pursuing my interest in animal care through enrollment in the veterinary technician/animal science pathway. By the time I graduate, I'll be equipped with a vet assistance degree. For nearly three years, I've been actively involved in raising and training service dogs for an external organization. My passion for working with dogs has been a lifelong affair. In my approach to training, I emphasize the significance of establishing a genuine connection and effective communication with these incredible animals. My commitment is not just about imparting skills but understanding every facet of their lives, enabling me to contribute to their overall well-being and success.
