These two Petersfield Hustings were arranged both to help inform 2021 voting choices and to help hold to account those elected on May 6th 2021.

What Questions have been asked?

Our Petersfield Hustings process has involved three phases of questions to the Candidates.

Phase 1: Before the Live Hustings

First, all 16 Candidates standing in Petersfield were invited to respond to 6 Intro Questions.

Phase 2: During the Live Hustings

Second, people who live, work, volunteer or study in Petersfield were invited to submit Questions to the Candidates for both City and County Council 2021 Elections. Similar questions were combined and ranked by the Hustings team for importance & specificity to Petersfield and frequency of submission. Merged versions of 17 submitted 'County' questions and 15 submitted 'City' questions were then posed in the form of 5 and 4 questions (respectively) at the two live Hustings events.

Phase 3: After the Live Hustings

Third, all public questions that could not be accommodated within the time constraints of the two Live Hustings were sent immediately following each event to all of the Candidates standing for that election. Each Candidate was invited to respond to any or all of the questions for their election; all answers received are available here.

These local residents associations supported an active team of three local residents in hosting and promoting these Hustings via zoom for the May 6th 2021 elections:
