Career Goal Narrative

Hi my name is Peter Haigler, I have always loved computers I thought they were the best thing this world had to offer. When I was 8 my dad got me a bunch of computer parts and we built one together. From then on I knew I wanted to do something with my life that involved computers. Me and my friends all built computers around the same age, and we all wanna do something with the knowledge we have leaner about computers to do something in the future. Coding has always been something I've  wanted to do, and I think it could have great potential in the future.

The courses I have taken through my highschool years have been limited. I took computer science over the summer before my freshman year of highschool. I don't know how much of an opportunity I will have to learn coding this late in highschool so I've been looking online for something that would help with my future. My best subjects are math and science, Math doesn't always come easy to me but i like numbers because they are easier to deal with than words.  Science I have always liked and plan to have a major in that someday as well.

Other than school I love sports. I Stopped playing baseball over the last year to focus on soccer because I realized i was a lot better at that than i was in baseball.  I loved playing baseball but it was time for me to switch back to soccer. I hope to be able to play for a college team when i go. The teamwork and leadership skills i have learned with benefit me for the rest of my life

After my highschool years are over I'm planning on  spending 1-2 years in Maryland for college to hopefully get the credits from engineering transferred to a different school. I am going to try to get a masters degree in engineering and hopefully make a job out of that someday.  The goal for now is to become a software engineer and make a good living out of it. I hope to plan on going to Bloominton Indiana for college and getting an enigneering degree.
