After completing my MA in Bioethics from The Ohio State University in 2024, I began my two-year (2025–2027) Fellowship in Clinical Ethics at University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio. Based primarily at Cleveland Medical Center, though also serving regional hospitals across Ohio, this fellowship includes a total of 52 weeks on-call for the 24/7 Clinical Ethics Consultation Service; membership on ethics committees; precepting Bioethics MA students on their clinical rotations; and rounding in the ICUs or with other services such as Palliative Care.
As of March 2026 (when I'm writing this), I have participated in 170 individual consults for a total of approximately 300 hours, and will sit for my Healthcare Ethics Consultant-Certified exam in May 2026. These consults have been predominantly in ICUs (Medical, Cardiac, Cardio-Thoracic, Neuro, Heart Failure), oncology, and on the general medical floors, but have also included ED, outpatient primary care, and labor & delivery.
