This website is my little pet project. It is a collection of essays on topics that seemed important to me at the time of their writing. What can you expect here? My philosophy of science, bits of history, rants about politics, arguments that I have had in my head.

In more detail: I like military history a lot so there's some of that here like this one about France in World War 1. I have a special fondness for the Hungarian War of Independence so I dedicated an entire section to it.

I'm an economist by profession and I have some thoughts on its place in the world like on discounting or on some its critics. My research deals with cancer too: here's an introduction to it and here's what's been happening at one of the biggest research centers.

Like anyone, I have opinions on politics. I try to spice mine up with some science conceps that I find cool like the Condorcet paradox or the Erdős number.

I'm Eastern European, a troubled region that is often forgotten or ignored when at peace and little understood and therefore feared when at war -- something that Eastern European strongmen tend to take advantage of. I'd like to bring Eastern Europe closer to outsiders to mitigate this and remind people that Eastern Europe also exists.

Finally, there are some truly unclassifiable writings here, such as on my favorite sci-fi series or an online strategy board game I like to play.
