Our goal is to share and disseminate the work of Peruvians around the world working in different disciplines of theoretical physics (astrophysics, high-energy particle theory, condensed matter theory, gravitation and cosmology, string theory, quantum information, complex systems, holography, mathematical physics, etc.) at a comprehensive and sufficient technical level to be attended by senior and junior researchers, as well as graduate and advanced undergraduate students without deep or advanced background in a specific topic.
With this idea in mind, we start in 2026 a series of two-round annual seminars organized by a mix of local researchers in Peru and abroad, with the logistical and organizational support of senior graduate students from different fields of theoretical physics. To benefit the persistence of this activity in our community, we consider necessary to align the seminars to the academic schedule of Peruvian institutions (1st round March-June, 2nd round August-November).
The seminars are held virtually on Google Meet every two weeks on Tuesdays at 16:30 pm (GMT-5, local time of Lima, Perú). The talks will be conducted preferably in Spanish, but English is also an alternative option.
If you are a Peruvian faculty member, researcher, postdoc, graduate student, or advanced undergraduate working in a topic related to theoretical physics and you are interested in talking about your work, please contact one of the organizers.
