Here, I share the methodology and findings of my dissertation study, "Collective, Distributive, and Referential Interpretations of Possessive Structures: L1 and L2 Perspectives." This work is being carried out at the University of Georgia.
Here, I include the English and Spanish corpus data collected during the study. The two participant groups are L1 English-L2 Spanish speakers from the United States and L1 Spanish-L2 English speakers from Mexico.
These task-based exercises are discussed in my dissertation as well as in my presentations from the 2022 meetings of the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese and the South Central Modern Language Association, as well as the II Congreso Internacional Virtual de Investigación en la Enseñanza-Aprendizaje de Lenguas y Culturas, taking place in 2023.
