LITTLE MOUNTAIN got its name from its locality and started when the Columbia, Newberry and Laurens railroad was built 35 or 40 years ago. POMARIA was named by Col. William Summer, who was a horticulturalist in the community, getting many rare plants from Europe and shipping his products to many states.
