What started as a small group of concerned neighbors has ignited into a city-wide movement. PAAC has ballooned into a powerful coalition representing residents from both sides of I-25. Whether you live East or West, we are standing together to protect the future of Castle Pines.
Our strength is in our unity. Join us.
PAAC submitted a detailed opposition letter for the Feb. 24th eligibility hearing, signed by 119 concerned residents.
PAAC sent another detailed letter for the March 26th Planning Commission meeting on zoning. Over 180 residents signed the letter. The meeting was cancelled due to the land developer withdrawing the annexation petition.
On March 24th, City Council will consider Resolution 26-23 at it's regular meeting. The policy would establish clear criteria (e.g., density limits, open space requirements, infrastructure readiness, fiscal impact thresholds, and compatibility with community character) so future proposals must meet community standards before advancing to hearings.
Join the PAAC Facebook site or send an email to crowsnestannexinfo@gmail.com to be included in signing the next letter and for future communications.
" The land they have designated as "open space" is FEMA floodplain and isn't able to be developed. It's a total of about 9.4% open space. For comparison purposes, the Canyons has 38% open space."
