About Us!

WHAT KIND OF GROUP ARE THE PENPONT PLAYERS?

This is probably the most important bit!

The Penpont Players are a small community theatre group. We perform in our local village hall rather than a purpose-built theatre, and we work with limited stage space, scenery and technical resources.

We don't have a huge cast, a massive budget or a professional theatre crew.

What we do have is a group of people who enjoy putting on a show together.

Our productions rely on creativity, teamwork and making the most of what we've got. Sometimes scenery has to do several jobs, costumes have to be adapted, and someone inevitably ends up asking, "How on earth are we going to get that on stage?"

That's part of the fun.

We’re not a professional theatre company, and we don't pretend to be. We're a friendly community group who put on the best show we can with the people, resources and space we have.

If you're looking for a friendly local group, a chance to perform, plenty of laughs and the opportunity to help create something together, we'd love to meet you.
