Addressing school regulations and curriculum guidelines, the Antipolo City National Science and Technology High School (ACNSTHS) administration held its first parent orientation for the school year 2024 - 2025 on August 9 on the school campus.
The Senior High School (SHS) and Junior High School (JHS) parents' assembly were held in the morning and afternoon, respectively, highlighting the new school year’s changes and system.
JHS teacher speakers discussed needed information on the take of the school on MATATAG curriculum for Grade 7 students along with class programs, rules and regulations, and the changes in this year’s class schedules, informing parents of Grade 7 students who are new to the school.
Mr. Rufino Idanan, the JHS coordinator, further discussed the grading system in science high schools and the stipend given by the government.
“Stipend is a privilege. Ang hinahanap namin sa anak niyo ay ang pagiging dedikado nila na matuto,” the JHS coordinator said, emphasizing the students’ dedication in performing the best of their abilities not just for the stipend provided but also for the sake of their learning.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Adrales spearheaded the discussion of the grading system in the SHS parents' general assembly, briefing parents regarding the transition of subjects from JHS to SHS and informing transferees about the science high school system.
Moreover, the parents then proceeded to their designated classrooms for the conduct of the Homeroom Parent-Teacher Association (HPTA), with the classroom advisers to pitch for the needs of every class and to elect a new set of HPTA officers.
