Through the European Economic Area (EEA) Agreement, signed in the city of Oporto in May 1992, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway are partners, in the internal market, of the Member States of the European Union.

Através do Acordo do Espaço Económico Europeu (EEE), assinado na cidade do Porto em Maio de 1992, Islândia, Liechtenstein e Noruega são parceiros, no mercado interno, dos Estados-Membros da União Europeia.

As a way of promoting a continuous and balanced strengthening of the economic and trade relations, the parties of the European Economic Area Agreement have established a Multiannual Financial Mechanism, known as the EEA Grants, through which Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway provide financial support to Member States of the European Union with the greatest deviations from the European average GDP per capita, which includes Portugal.

Como forma de promover um reforço contínuo e equilibrado das relações económicas e comerciais, as Partes do Acordo do Espaço Económico Europeu estabeleceram um Mecanismo Financeiro Plurianual, conhecido por EEA Grants, através do qual a Islândia, o Liechtenstein e a Noruega prestam apoio financeiro aos Estados-Membros Estados da União Europeia com maiores desvios em relação à média do PIB per capita europeu, que inclui Portugal.

Blue Growth Program

The main objective of the Blue Growth Program is to increase value creation and sustainable growth in the Portuguese blue economy. Furthermore, the intention is to increase research and promote education and training in the marine and maritime areas.

O principal objetivo do Programa Crescimento Azul é aumentar a criação de valor e o crescimento sustentável da economia azul portuguesa. Além disso, pretende-se aumentar a investigação e promover a educação e formação nas áreas marinhas e marítimas.

This Program aims to enhance value creation and sustainable growth, including long-term marine and maritime economic growth, social cohesion (in terms of local communities and maritime activities) and protection of the marine environment.

Este Programa visa aumentar a criação de valor e o crescimento sustentável, incluindo o crescimento económico marítimo e marítimo a longo prazo, a coesão social (em termos de comunidades locais e atividades marítimas) e a proteção do ambiente marinho.
