An examination of the scientific evidence informing our understanding of the causes and consequences of human impacts on the environment. Application of tools, principles, and quantitative reasoning from the natural sciences, social sciences, and engineering and technology to study and evaluate sustainable solutions to environmental degradation and resource depletion.

SYLLABUS AND ASSIGNMENT INFORMATION:
Download the syllabus for the morning section HERE and the afternoon section HERE. Read it carefully. Students are required to understand the syllabus contents and are expected to abide by all course policies.
PREREQUISITES:
None. Transferable to both CSU and UC. Meets the Natural Science requirement for CCSF Associates degrees and Life Sciences requirement for CSU and UC. Articulates with Environmental Science courses offered at UCB and SJSU. ADVISORY: Completion of at least ENGL 92.

The first day of class is ?. Any student who misses the first 2 classes will be dropped.
CCSF offers Associates Degrees in Environmental Science, and Environmental Studies. The College also offers a Sustainability Certificate. Watch this video on why you should consider obtaining an Associates Degree.

"Environment: The Science Behind the Stories", Withgott and Laposata, 6th edition, 2018. Using an older edition is fine.
