Thessaloniki

Thessaloniki is the second largest Greek city and is located in the region of the gulf Thermaico, which is part of the Aegean Sea. The population of this city is 800 thousand inhabitants and its metropolitan area has about 1 million inhabitants.

The city is known for its Byzantine Empire monuments, such as the Byzantine hot springs, which are part of a group of monuments considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The main icon of the city is the White Tower.
