Quarter 2:

ELA: Students will learn about fossils, the steps of fossilization and the importance of paleontologists. They will use nonfiction text to ask and answer questions and understand beginning, middle, and end of a story. 

Writing: Students will create a personal narrative describing a time they found a fossil. They will use their understanding of fossilization and paleontologist tools to help write a beginning, middle, and ending.
