Dr. Samuel Richardson III, DCC serves as the Senior Pastor of Pee Dee Union Baptist Church in Cheraw, South Carolina, where he provides spiritual leadership grounded in Scripture, compassion, and community engagement. He is known for his deep love of God’s Word and a ministry philosophy shaped by key biblical teachings calling believers to go forth, teach, and make disciples.
Outside his pastoral role, Dr. Richardson is a licensed clinical pastoral counselor with extensive experience in grief management, bereavement care, marriage and family health, and substance-abuse counseling. His professional ministry has included chaplaincy work and bereavement coordination in both ecclesiastical and healthcare settings.
Dr. Richardson also serves as Bereavement Coordinator for the Baptist Educational and Missionary Convention of South Carolina, contributing his counseling expertise to support individuals and families through loss and healing.

Doctorate in Christian Counseling, Andersonville Theological Seminary — Summa Cum Laude
Master of Divinity from Palmer Theological Seminary
Bachelor of Science in Human Services from Springfield College – Wilmington Campus
