Children have grown to rely on their executive thinking, whether in class or managing social situations more and more frequently. However, the prefrontal cortex of the brain, which plays a critical role in cognitive control functions, does not fully develop until an individual reaches the age 25.
The Body brain relates to the lower portion of our children's brains or the brain stem. It is responsible for regulating most of your child's autonomic functions which are essential for life, such as heart rate, breathing, and blood pressure. Additionally, the brain stem plays a role in regulating balance, coordination, and reflexes. The brain stem is almost fully developed by the second trimester in the womb.
