Mission Statement:

The mission of the Pennington County Historical Society shall be the collection, preservation, interpretation and education of the history of Pennington County for the benefit of all.

Vision Statements:

To locate and collect materials that illustrate the history of Pennington county and their connection to its residents, past, present and future.
To stay abreast of current preservation methodology in order to provide optimal care of the collections held in public trust.
To research and place collections in proper context presenting a more complete understanding of their use and purpose.
To present historical information and experiences in a cooperative effort with the education community and the general public.
