This ride is an out-and-back starting at 8:00 at the US Post Office in San Ysidro for the 30 mile route and 8:30 at the Jemez Pueblo Walatowa Visitor Center for the 15 mile route.

We travel north on NM 4 through San Ysidro and begin the gradual climb to Jemez Pueblo and then north through the Jemez River Canyon. We will take a break at 7.5 miles at the Walatowa Visitor Center. We continue north through the cottonwood tree-lined Jemez River and then west on NM 485. We climb Guadalupe Canyon surrounded by dramatic mesas through the small town of Gilman and finally to the Gilman Tunnels.

From the intersection of I-25 and Tramway, it is about a 30+ minute drive to San Ysidro. Please allow enough time from your homes to the start so we can all leave on time. As a reminder, this is a no-drop ride meaning no rider is left behind and you can count on an experienced rider to stay with you. This is a very relaxed and enjoyable ride.
