Postdoctoral Fellowships on Transparent Optoelectronic Devices for Energy Harvesting, Sensing, and Computing

Salary: Salary 30,000,000 - 45,000,000 KRW per annum
Duration: Initially for 12 months, with the possibility of renewal for up to 24 months

Professor Joondong Kim’s Laboratory at Incheon National University is recognized as one of the top 100 research labs by National Research Foundation in South Korea. We are offering multiple fully funded postdoctoral fellowships to develop wafer-scale heterostructures, investigate the roles of materials processing, charge transport phenomena, and energy conversion processes. The goal is to enable integrated applications and develop energy-efficient buildings, electronics, and computing for sustainable growth.
Position Requirements:
· Education:
PhD in Applied Physics, Solar Cells, Optoelectronics, Physical Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, or Materials Science and Engineering.
Research Experience:
· Ideal candidates should have a strong research background with a track record of publications in optoelectronic devices, solar cells, thin-film growth, memory devices, thin-film transistors, or neuromorphic devices.
Research Skills:
· Highly motivated individuals with expertise in thin-film deposition methods, materials processing optimization, solid-state electronic device characterization, optoelectronic processes, and interfacial charge transport.
· Experience in thin-film deposition using sputtering, ALD, thermal evaporation, and CVD will be advantageous.
· Skills in device characterization using PGSTAT, spectral photoresponse, and impedance spectroscopy are desirable.
· Hands-on experience with 3D printing, mask design, and lithography will be strongly considered.
· Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a collaborative group environment.
· Candidates with PhD thesis submissions are also welcome, provided the PhD degree will be obtained shortly before the commencement of the job.
Additional Requirements:
· Demonstrated ability to conduct innovative and independent research.
· Record of publications in high-quality journals and/or conferences in the field.
· Capability to apply new learning skills and willingness to use them for energy research.
· Willingness to work with students and research scientists to foster ongoing projects.
