The PSI EDP Fellowship Program is a 3-year program designated at facilitating enhanced educator development and practice. It was founded at the end of 2021 with a very competitive massive intake and has improved its nature and form to enable quality service provision. It aims at developing educators who exemplify the founding principles of the PSI Educator Development Program known as ‘SCACCI Principles’ an abbreviation that stands for:

CURRICULUM & SKILLS DEVELOPMENT STRUCTURE OF THE FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM
Year 1 –Intern Fellow
For B.Ed. YOS 2 students preferably
Focused on enhancing the educator as a Professional Thinker through enhancement of Pedagogical Reasoning from practical teaching and theoretical reflection.
Theoretical abstract knowledge base will be explored through controversial academic discourse, basic research skills and self-paced knowledge building employing the institute flipped pedagogy and assessment framework.
Year 2- Junior Fellow
For B.Ed. YOS 3 students preferably
Focused on enhancing the educator as a Professional Practitioner through enhancement of Pedagogical Action from curriculum development, teaching, learning and assessment lenses.
Applied abstract knowledge base will be explored through engagement in various communities of practice, mid-range research skills and self-paced knowledge building employing the institute flipped pedagogy and assessment framework.
Year 3- Senior Fellow
For B.Ed. YOS 4 students preferably
Focused on enhancing the educator as a Professional Expert through enhancement of understanding of the constructs of the education fraternity from a legal perspective, policy, school governance and education entrepreneurship development.
Versatile theoretical and applied abstract knowledge will be explored through within the field networking and supervision, advanced research skills, and self-paced knowledge building employing the institute flipped pedagogy and assessment framework.

Step 2- Prepare Application Materials
Statement of Purpose: A concise short essay outlining your motivation, goals, and what you hope to achieve during the fellowship. [This will be filled in/typed/pasted on the application form

Complete the online application form through our website or as per the sent FELLOWSHIP APPLICATIONS BROCHURE in the respective social media platforms
Upload required documents as specified in the application guidelines.

SELECTION PROCESS:
Applications will be reviewed by our Fellowship Selections Panel, made by a team of experienced staff of the Pedagogical Science Institute
Shortlisted Fellowship candidates will be notified via Student Email or WhatsApp inbox and will be required to submit their End of Year Transcript by the date to be communicated
Selected Fellows will then be notified via email or WhatsApp after the final results review, who will then proceede to registration for the 2024 Academic Year

Small group weekly afterhours sessions [Seminars & Symposiums] and consultations in selected courses for academic support in your degree.
30% theory curriculum to sharpen ones academic and professional development inclusive of PSI EDP based specialized Competency Courses:
70% practical curriculum which involves practical teaching requirements to schools within the PSI Partnership schools network on:
o Selected Weekends
o Selected Mid-semester breaks/recess
o Spring, summer and winter camps
IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT:
Teaching practice completion is a COMPULSORY requirement for all successful fellowship applicants
Thus, Teaching Practice will be monitored through formal grading and supervision visits from the institutes staff.
Transport and food will be provided for all PSI based Teaching Practice component arrangements. Full arrangements and expectations will be shared with successful fellowship applicants.
Registration of certain specialised courses is COMPULSORY for all successful fellowship applicants
Extra-Curricular skills in the fields of digital technologies, entrepreneurship, research and administrations.
Experience in working with higher education course work and regulated skills
Competency certificates at the end of completion of the Fellowship program.
Webinars/Seminars/Symposiums on controversial scorching discourses across the academy
Exposure to the broader Pedagogical Science Institutes’ domains in research, media, civic engagement and vocational education.
Access to a broad community that fosters academic excellence an support for one’s own personal development

FAQs:
How competative is the PSI EDP Fellowship Application Process?
The Fellowship Program in 2022 only accepted 30 applications per Year of study which amounted to 60 successful applicants. The intake statistics vary yearly, thus this application seasons' intake is yet to be decided by the selections committee.
What happens if my application is incomplete?
Students are urged to carefully fill the entire application following all requirements and filling in all parts fully to avoid their applications being disqualified. All incomplete applications will not be shortlisted/considered.
Are there any late applications for the PSI EDP Fellowship Program?
We will NOT be taking any LATE APPLICATIONS as this was the final provision made for that in light of connectivity issues students experienced due to be at home in the previous application period. Please do not email or inbox the team about late applications.
How will I know my application status?
Status of applications will be emailed or inboxed to students after all applications have been reviewed on the 15 February 2024 and a way forward will be communicated soon after. Ensure your correct Email and WhatsApp number is submitted so you receive your application status. Check your emails Spam section and/or the Inbox section for your application status.

There is NO application Fee
