Science Blunders
Unexplainable results... Spilled cultures... Smoking flasks... The shock on your supervisor's face... Research rarely goes as planned!
In the "Science Blunders" program you can join a club-style symposium where the spotlight is stolen from the shining triumphs of research for the bitter fails that teach us to be better professionals. The goal is to learn in an entertaining way. Do you also have a story? We would gladly hear it!
(Science Blunders presentations organized if programme has time slots left after topic presentations are scheduled)
"A smart person learns from their mistakes, but a truly wise person learns
from the mistakes of others."
- a common saying
Day 2
10:00 2nd BioTeke Championship (at Pécsi Teke Sportegyesület, 7633 Pécs, Szántó Kovács János utca 1/A).
A fresh tradition started in 2023 and became part of the events from MaBE in Pécs: biotechnologist students (and others) play matches of 9-pin-bowling ("teke" in Hungarian). This is a fun team sport, similar to the well-known bowling, but that requires a different ball-tossing technique that 99% of the competitors lack. Are you in the 1%? Let's find out in a friendly competition!
Do you have a team? You can register with a team but if you don't have one, no problem, we will find you one! To participate in the game, make sure to select the option in the event's registration form.
Some moments from the Culture Night of the first MaBE event in Pécs, in 2022!
