"Racheslie Ruffles"
Ruffles is Lisianthus's dam. Ruffles is a "Adin"; "Choo"; and "Accord" grand-daughter, the three lines Elise Anderson's herd is built on. She has proven her heritage by finishing her ADGA Championship in three shows as a first freshener. "Ruffles" achieved her Breed Leader status in 2012 with 2690 pounds milk; 115 pounds butterfat; 74 pounds protein at 285 days in milk.
We started breeding Oberhasli during my high school years with the Crest FFA Chapter. "Ruffles" was the very first Oberhasli that I had ever shown. The following year, Ruffles kidded with a little doeling that was named Lisianthus, which is a scientific name of a flower. Lisianthus does have a barn name of "Lizzy" who has been my primary showmanship doe since high school!

Lizzy's Story:
I started showing dairy goats when I was a freshman in High School and Lizzy was my showmanship doe. Lizzy taught me a lot of things. I never thought that I would become so "attached" to a goat but Liz had such a loving personality, it was hard not to. She was the foundation to our herd and meant so much to me. Lizzy was my inspiration to becoming an Oberhasli breeder. I wanted to "fix" certain traits about her by selecting bucks that would compliment her. While she may be gone, I am happy to have two daughters in our herd to be able to continue her legacy. Rest easy sweet girl, I will miss you so much!

We are excited to have been able to purchase this lovely doe from our friends at In Theory Farm in Angier, North Carolina. We unfortunately lost Ava in 2023 due to ketosis. However, we do have one daughter in our herd. Ava's daughter is named "Pecan-Creek One Chance Fancy". We look forward to continue Ava's legacy on our farm.
