With a heavy heart we are offering Roanoke for sale. "Row" was born on our farm in 2019. We have loved watching him grow but it is time that he moves on to a new farm and protect his own herd of livestock. 

Roanoke has been in a pasture with horses and occasional goats. "Row" is best suited for a home that already has a donkey or donkeys so that he can be bonded in his new herd. 

Roanoke is a very special donkey as he is a Cross back donkey. The legend of the Cross back donkey states that a donkey with a Cross on his back carried Jesus into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday and followed Him to Calvary. Appalled by the sight of Jesus on the cross, the donkey turned away but couldn't leave. It is said that the shadow of the cross fell upon the shoulders and back of the donkey. 

Row has always gotten routine vet health care visits , vaccines, and hoof trims. This donkey will be sold with a buy back contract. (Private Message Alyssa for any questions about the "Buy Back")

Pecan-Creek One Chance Fancy kidded this year with a single buck kid. 

The sire of this buckling is In Theory Mariner. Mariner is a very stylish and correct buck. His general appearance and levelness across the topline is very eye catching as he moves around the ring. His daughters are also very correct in general appearance and stand on very strong feet and legs. 

The dam of this buck is Pecan-Creek One Chance Fancy. While this doe is a first freshener , she comes from a proven sire, GCH *B (pending) In Theory Ezra. Ezra has several milking daughters that have earned their milk awards, legs towards permanent championship status, etc.

Mariner's sire, *B Vanjust LEE Jamez has produced many beautiful does for our friends at In Theory Farm. In 2018, one of his daughters was first place senior kid at nationals, and another sold for $1,500 in the Colorama sale. 

His dam unfortunately passed away in a tragic accident, but she was a stunning 1st freshener with a gorgeous udder. He sire is *B SG Sir Echo Ceebre, who was a very influential sire, and also produced two National Champions amongst other achievements. 

Mariner is a very stylish and correct buck. His general appearance and levelness across the topline is very eye catching as he moves around the ring. His daughters are also very correct in general appearance and stand on very strong feet and legs. While we do not have any fresh daughters out of this buck yet, we are very excited about the potential they are showing. We have used Mariner for the past two years in our breeding plans therefore, it is time to find him a new home. "Mars", as we like to call him, has been appraised in 2023 as was scored as an FS 86 this year.
