Stine Kronsted Pedersen

Stine Kronsted is the Urban Design Lead from Dreamtown, a Danish NGO that supports youth- and grassroots-led transformation of urban space across African cities. She has an interest in understanding and facilitating the process of the urban through insurgency and counter-hegemonic practices. She works with decolonisation of thinking and practice, and move within the intersection of these spaces. With Dreamtown as well as through academic work, she has focussed on grassroots-led river rehabilitation in Nairobi. Additionally, she has worked with feminist urban design in Kampala, Uganda, creative space development in Harare, Zimbabwe, and co-design of public space in Freetown, Sierra Leone. Her areas of expertise lie in strategic urban planning and development, community mapping, co-design processes and feminist urban design.
