Edmilson Rodrigues is the Mayor of Belém, Brazil, the “Capital of the Amazon” and a Professor in Civil Construction, an Architect and Urban Planner and a Specialist in the Development of Amazonian Areas. He has a Master's Degree in Development Planning from NAEA / UFPA and a PhD in Human Geography from the University of São Paulo (USP). Belém will be hosting the COP 30 in 2025 and Mr Rodrigues is currently the President of the Amazon Cities Forum.
