"The Power to Read"
For students and parents
"Ubuntu: It takes a village"
A open discussion between parents/guardians, teachers and others on supporting students with learning disabilities. The purpose is to open up a conversation and bridge the gap between the parents and school on ways to best support the students.
"Decoding the IEP: Understanding Your Child's Individualized Education Program":
A detailed guide to interpreting IEP documents, understanding rights, and collaborating with schools.
"Transitioning to High School and Beyond":
Preparing for the academic and social changes of high school, college, and vocational training for students with learning disabilities.
P.E.A.K believes a well educated parent is better prepared to advocate for their child. We also believe that a well educated society makes better decisions and are better prepared to change the world we see today.
P.E.A.K workshops are designed to equip YOU with the knowledge and skills needed to understand children with disabilities, your rights and how to support them. Workshops will be led by expert teachers, other parents and special education support specialist.
