This Privacy Policy explains how PDF Maker, Scanner and Viewer ("the App", "we", "us") handles information. We designed the App to do its core work — scanning, creating, reading, and organizing PDFs — entirely on your device. We do not run accounts and we do not sell your data.
1. Information the App accesses on your device
- Documents and files. With your permission (All Files Access / storage), the App reads PDF files on your device so you can view and manage them, and saves PDFs you create or scan. These files stay on your device and are not uploaded to us.
- Camera. If you use the scanner, the camera captures pages you choose to scan. Images are processed on-device to build a PDF and are not sent to us.
- On-device text recognition (OCR). The "Extract Text" and "Make Searchable" features recognize text locally using Google ML Kit. This runs on your device and does not send your documents to a server.
2. Information collected automatically (ads & services)
The App shows advertisements through Google AdMob and uses Google Play services. These Google services may collect and process data such as your advertising ID, device identifiers, IP address, and general usage/diagnostic information to serve and measure ads (including personalized or non-personalized ads) and to keep the services working. This collection is performed by Google, not by us.

3. Purchases
The optional "Remove Ads" purchase is processed by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your payment details; Google handles the transaction.
4. How your information is used
On-device data (files, camera images, recognized text) is used only to provide the App's features on your device. Automatically-collected data is used by Google to display and measure ads and to operate Google services.
5. Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. Documents never leave your device through the App except when you choose to share them using your device's share sheet. Advertising and services data is handled by Google as described above.
6. Permissions we request and why
- All Files Access / Storage — to find, open, and save PDF files so you can view and manage them.
- Camera — to scan physical documents into PDFs.
You can revoke permissions at any time in your device Settings; some features may then stop working.
7. Data retention and deletion
PDFs and app data remain on your device until you delete them in the App or uninstall it. To delete everything, remove your files in the App and/or uninstall the App. For advertising data held by Google, see Google's policy linked above, and you can reset your Advertising ID in device Settings.
8. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
