Terms and Conditions
Last Updated: May 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legally binding agreement between you and the operator of PDF Converter (“we,” “us,” or “our”) regarding your access to and use of our mobile applications, websites, APIs, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
Apple is not a party to these Terms. Apple Inc. and its subsidiaries (“Apple”) are not responsible for the Service or its content. Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support for the App, or to address warranty claims (to the extent any warranty applies). Apple is not responsible for addressing claims by you or a third party relating to the App or your use of the App, including product liability claims, failure to meet legal or regulatory requirements, or consumer protection claims. If a third party claims the App infringes intellectual property rights, we (not Apple) are responsible for investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of that claim, to the extent required by applicable law. Questions about the App should be directed to us at the contact in Section 20.
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Service (including the version distributed through the Apple App Store), you agree to these Terms. If you disagree, you must not use the Service.
Your use of the App may also be subject to the App Store Terms of Service and other Apple terms that apply when you obtain apps from the App Store. If there is a conflict between these Terms and the App Store Terms of Service regarding your relationship with Apple, the App Store Terms of Service control as between you and Apple.
1. Acceptance of Terms
1.1 These Terms constitute a binding agreement between you and us regarding your use of the Service.
1.2 We may publish additional terms or guidelines for specific features (“Additional Terms”). Where Additional Terms apply, they form part of this agreement and, if there is a conflict, the Additional Terms prevail for the relevant feature.
1.3 If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Changes to These Terms
2.1 We may update these Terms for legal, technical, or business reasons.
2.2 If we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and may provide additional notice where required by law or as we reasonably consider appropriate (for example in the App).
2.3 Your continued use of the Service after updated Terms become effective means you accept the revised Terms, except where applicable law requires your explicit consent.
3. Privacy
3.1 Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
3.2 Please review the Privacy Policy (including the version prepared for App Store distribution, if applicable) at your published privacy policy URL for example: https://sites.google.com/view/pdf-converter-scanner-maker to understand how we collect, use, share, and protect information. You are responsible for ensuring the link in the App and App Store listing points to the current policy.
4. Eligibility and Your Account
4.1 You must be old enough to use the Service under the laws of your country and meet Apple’s minimum age requirements for the App Store in your region. If you are not of legal age to form a binding contract where you live, you may use the Service only with permission of a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
4.2 The current version of the Service may not require you to create an account. If we introduce account-based features, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering and to keep it updated.
4.3 You are solely responsible for safeguarding credentials associated with your access to the Service and for all activity under your account or device. You agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
5. License to Use the Service
5.1 Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable (except as allowed by Apple’s rules for family sharing or device transfers where applicable), non-sublicensable, and revocable license to use the Service on Apple-branded products that you own or control and as permitted by the Usage Rules set forth in the App Store Terms of Service.
5.2 This license is for personal or internal business use only, unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing.
5.3 We reserve all rights not expressly granted.
6. Subscriptions, Billing, Cancellation, and Refunds
6.1 The Service may offer free and paid features or subscription plans.
6.2 If you purchase a subscription or other in-app purchase, payment is processed by Apple through your Apple ID. Charges, billing cycles, and payment methods are governed by Apple’s terms and your App Store account settings.
6.3 Auto-renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, in accordance with Apple’s subscription rules.
6.4 Cancellation: You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings (for example Settings → \[Your Name\] → Subscriptions on your device, or via the App Store / account management on supported platforms). Cancellation typically takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access until that time unless Apple’s policies or law provide otherwise.
6.5 Refunds: Refund requests for purchases through Apple are handled by Apple according to Apple’s policies (for example Report a Problem or other Apple support channels). Where we are legally required to provide a refund outside Apple’s process, we will comply with applicable law.
6.6 Pricing changes: We may change subscription prices where permitted; Apple may notify you of price changes and request your consent to continue where required.
6.7 You are responsible for applicable taxes and fees charged by Apple or your payment provider.
7. User Content
7.1 “User Content” means files, images, PDFs, word, excel, powerpoint, text, scans, and other material you upload, import, create, or process through the service.
7.2 You retain ownership of your User Content.
7.3 You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process, transmit, reproduce, and display User Content only as needed to operate, secure, improve, and provide the Service to you.
7.4 You represent and warrant that:
- You have all rights and permissions needed for your User Content; and
- Your User Content and your use of the Service do not violate law or third-party rights.
7.5 You are solely responsible for your User Content and the consequences of uploading or sharing it.
8. Acceptable Use and Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Violate applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights;
- Upload unlawful, infringing, harmful, or malicious content;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, tamper with, or attempt unauthorized access to the Service (except to the extent mandatory local law expressly permits);
- Disrupt, overload, or interfere with our systems, networks, or other users;
- Scrape, data-mine, or harvest data without express authorization;
- Use the Service to distribute malware, spam, or fraudulent content.
We may investigate violations and take action, including suspension or termination.
9. Intellectual Property
9.1 The Service, including software, design, trademarks, logos, and related content (excluding User Content), is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws.
9.2 Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of our intellectual property to you.
10. Third-Party Services
10.1 The Service may integrate with third-party services (including, for example, Apple (App Store, In-App Purchase, push notifications, device frameworks), analytics, crash reporting, OCR, advertising, and cloud infrastructure).
10.2 Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their availability, content, or practices.
11. Service Availability and Changes
11.1 We may modify, update, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service as permitted by law.
11.2 We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that file conversion, OCR results, or document outputs will always be complete, accurate, or fit for your intended purpose.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers; in those cases, disclaimers apply only to the extent permitted.
13. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES;
- WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, PROFITS, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION;
- OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US FOR THE SERVICE DURING THE THIRTY (30) DAYS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
Apple has no liability for the Service or third-party claims relating to the App, beyond what Apple’s terms may require.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, limitations apply only to the extent permitted.
14. Indemnification
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless PDF Converter and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service;
- Your User Content;
- Your violation of these Terms or applicable law;
- Your infringement of any third-party rights.
15. Suspension and Termination
15.1 We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created legal or security risk, or if suspension is required for legal or operational reasons.
15.2 You may stop using the Service at any time, including by uninstalling the App and canceling subscriptions through Apple.
15.3 Provisions that by their nature should survive (including payment obligations accrued before termination, limitations of liability, indemnity, and dispute provisions) survive termination.
16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
16.1 These Terms are governed by applicable law in your jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law rules that would apply a different law, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence require otherwise.
16.2 If a dispute arises, you agree to first try to resolve it informally by contacting us at the email below.
16.3 If informal resolution fails, disputes will be resolved in the competent courts permitted by applicable law, unless mandatory law requires a different forum (for example consumer venue rules).
17. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, infrastructure failures, telecommunications outages, labor disputes, war, terrorism, epidemics, government actions, or internet disruptions.
18. Export and Sanctions
You may not use or export the Service except as authorized by law, including U.S. and other export control and sanctions laws. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to comprehensive embargoes (as defined by applicable law) or listed on prohibited party lists where use would be illegal.
19. General Terms
19.1 If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
19.2 Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
19.3 These Terms, together with policies expressly incorporated by reference (including the Privacy Policy), are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede prior agreements on the same subject.
19.4 You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law.

Notes for App Store Connect
1. Host this document at a stable HTTPS URL and enter that URL in App Store Connect (App Information → EULA if you use a custom EULA, or link from Description/support site as appropriate). If you rely on Apple’s Standard EULA only, you still may publish these Terms as your “Terms of Use” for clarity; ensure you do not contradict Apple’s required terms.
2. Keep the Privacy Policy link accurate and consistent with your privacy labels.
3. Ensure in-app purchase copy, subscription lengths, and auto-renewal disclosures in the App match Apple’s subscription guideline requirements (including optional subscription information in metadata where required).
