PDFBend ("the app", "we", "our") is a PDF utility app for Android. This Privacy Policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.
Core principle: All PDF processing happens entirely on your device. Your documents are never uploaded to any server, and we have no access to any files you open or create with the app.
We do not collect, store, or transmit:
The content of any PDF or image file you open, create, or export
Your name, email address, or any other personal identification
Passwords you enter into the PDF protection or unlock tools
Your location
Health or financial data
We have no user accounts, no login system, and no server-side storage of any kind.
The app uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and use:
Advertising ID (GAID): A resettable device identifier used to serve personalised ads
Device information: Hardware model, OS version, screen size, and similar technical attributes
IP address: Used to infer approximate location for ad targeting and fraud prevention
Ad interaction data: Whether you tapped or viewed an ad
This data is collected and processed by Google LLC under their own privacy policy. AdMob shares this data with Google's advertising network for ad personalisation.
To opt out of personalised advertising, go to your Android device Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID or enable "Opt out of Ads Personalisation".
For users in the EEA, UK, and California, a consent dialog is shown on first launch before any advertising data is collected. You may withdraw or change your consent at any time by clearing the app's data.

PDFBend is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this app, please contact us so we can address it.
Because we do not collect or store your data, there is nothing for us to retain or delete. Output files created by the app are stored in your device's app-private storage or public Downloads folder at your direction; you can delete them at any time from within the app or through your device's file manager.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including:
Access: Request a copy of personal data we hold about you
Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data
Opt-out: Opt out of personalised advertising (see Section 3.1)
Portability: Receive your data in a portable format

All PDF operations run locally on your device. We do not transmit file content over the internet. Passwords entered for PDF encryption are held in memory only for the duration of the operation and are never written to disk or transmitted.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted at the URL where this policy is hosted. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
