Privacy Policy
Last Updated: June 5, 2026
PT Sarana Kalteng Ventura ("we," "us," or "our"), a developer based in Indonesia, respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application, PDF Reader View (the "App").
Our App is designed as a document management and reading tool. We prioritize your privacy: all document processing (such as viewing and deleting PDFs, Word, Excel, and PPT files) is conducted entirely locally on your device. We do not upload your documents to our servers.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the App, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect and How We Use It
Since PDF Reader View operates primarily offline for document management, we do not directly collect or store sensitive personal information such as your name, address, or phone number. However, through integrated third-party services, certain non-personal data and device identifiers may be collected to ensure the App functions properly, analyze usage, and serve advertisements.
Third-Party Services & SDKs:
The App uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you or your device. Please review their privacy policies below:
2. Permissions Explained
To provide core document management and reading functionalities, PDF Reader View requires specific device permissions. We strictly use these permissions only for their intended purposes and do not access or collect unrelated personal data.
MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (All Files Access):
For users on Android 11 and above, this permission is strictly necessary to access the shared storage of your device. It allows the App to discover, view, and delete supported document files (PDF, Word, Excel, PPT) across different folders. Without this permission, the App cannot function as a comprehensive file reader. All file management actions are executed locally on your device.
READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE & WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE:
For users on Android 10 and below, these permissions are required to read (view) and write (delete or modify) PDF, Word, Excel, and PPT files within your device's external storage.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS:
For users on Android 13 and above, we request this permission to send you relevant system notifications, such as background task statuses when you launch the App or navigate to the main page.
FOREGROUND_SERVICE & FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE:
We utilize foreground services to ensure critical tasks—such as loading the splash screen, initializing the main page, and stabilizing the App upon launch—run smoothly without being abruptly terminated by the Android operating system.
3. Data Processing & Security
Local Processing: PDF Reader View processes all your documents locally on your device. We do not transmit, upload, or store your personal files on our servers or any external databases.
We employ industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect the non-personal data collected by our third-party SDKs. However, please be aware that no method of electronic transmission over the internet or method of data storage is 100% secure.
4. Children’s Privacy
Our App does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction). If you are under this age, please do not use this App. If we discover that a child has provided us with personal information, we will immediately delete such data.
5. Your Global Privacy Rights
Depending on your region, you may be protected by comprehensive data privacy laws. We are committed to complying with these regulations:
GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation): For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the right to access, rectify, or erase your data, and the right to object to data processing.
CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act): For California residents, you have the right to know what data is collected, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt-out of the "sale" of personal data.
VCDPA (Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act): For Virginia residents, you maintain rights regarding data access, correction, and deletion.
LGPD (Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados): For users in Brazil, you have rights akin to the GDPR, including confirmation of processing, access to data, and data portability.
Because our App processes documents locally, any requests related to tracking data or advertising identifiers must be managed through your device's settings (e.g., resetting your Google Advertising ID).
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or global regulations. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
7. Contact Us
If you have any questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or your data, please contact our Data Protection Officer (DPO):
