PDFCraft: PDF Editor & Scanner
Effective date: October 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Saddam Hossain (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles information when you use the PDFCraft app (the “App”) on iPhone and iPad.
Your documents, scans, signatures and photos are processed on your device and are never uploaded to us.
You don’t need an account to use the App.
The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. Google may collect device and usage information to show and measure ads, as described below.
Premium subscriptions are processed by Apple. We never receive your payment details.
We do not collect, store or have access to:
the content of your PDFs, scans, images, text or signatures
your name, email address, phone number or contacts
your precise location
your payment information
All document processing happens on your device, including scanning, text recognition (OCR), editing, signing, compression and encryption. Your files are stored in the App’s folder on your device and, if you choose, in your iCloud or the Files app under your own Apple Account.
Camera: used only to scan paper documents when you choose to. Images stay on your device.
Photos: used only to add photos you select as PDF pages. The App can only see the photos you pick.
Tracking (App Tracking Transparency): used only to allow more relevant ads (see section 3). You can decline, and the App works fully either way.
You can change these permissions at any time in your device’s Settings.
If you use the free version, the App shows ads provided by Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC. To show, limit and measure ads, and to prevent fraud, Google may automatically collect information from your device, including:
device identifiers, such as the advertising identifier (IDFA, only if you allow tracking) and identifier for vendors
approximate location derived from your IP address
ad interactions and app usage information
diagnostic information, such as crash and performance data
device information, such as model, operating system and language
Google’s use of this information is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. You can learn how Google uses data from apps that use its services at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Your choices:
Users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown a consent form, provided by Google, before personalized ads are shown. You can accept, decline, or choose specific purposes.
Apple’s tracking prompt: if you choose “Ask App Not to Track”, the advertising identifier is not shared, and you may still see non-personalized ads.
Advertising preferences: you can reset or limit ad personalization in your device settings.
Premium: subscribing removes ads completely.
Premium subscriptions are purchased and managed through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes your payment and shares only a confirmation of your subscription status with the App. We do not receive your name, Apple Account or payment details. Apple’s handling of your information is described in Apple’s Privacy Policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.
The App stores preferences on your device, such as your theme, your author name for comments, recently opened files and saved signatures. This information never leaves your device unless your own device backups (for example, iCloud Backup) include it.
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to send. We use it only to respond to you, and we delete it when it is no longer needed.
We do not keep any information about you on our servers. Information collected by Google for advertising is retained according to Google’s policies.
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. Because we do not hold your personal information, most requests about advertising data should be directed to Google, using the consent choices in the App and the controls described in section 3. We do not sell your personal information. Where the use of advertising data counts as “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising under California law, you can opt out by declining tracking, choosing non-personalized ads, or subscribing to Premium.
For any privacy request or question, contact us using the details below.
Google may process advertising data in countries other than your own, including the United States, under appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Because your documents never leave your device, they are protected by your device’s security. If you add a password to a PDF, it is encrypted on your device with AES. No method of storage is completely secure, so please keep your device protected with a passcode.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Significant changes will be highlighted in the App or on this page.
