Everyone is welcome to our informal gardening sessions on Thursday mornings.   We sometimes have a (vegan) picnic lunch if it's sunny.    Just turn up.  If you don't feel like gardening just come and chat.   If you don't feel like chatting just come and sit.

We're fair-weather gardeners. If it's unpleasant we'll be in a café instead.

Where?

By the bus stop on the corner of Redston & Priory Roads, London N8 (UK).

Bus routes 144, W7, W3.       Use postcode N8 8NB to navigate

History

In April 2011 the Warner Estate Residents Association (WERA) started planting fruit trees on a council-owned grassy area on the corner of Redston Rd and Priory Rd, London N8.    With permission of course.

We planted lots of edible leaves & flowers around the young trees. Now (2018) that the orchard is maturing there is less space for salad, but we look forward to enjoying plenty of fruit instead.

How's it funded?

The Warner Estate Residents' Association, some generous neighbours, and Haringey council have given us money for trees and noticeboards.

But most stuff has been donated. People bring us plants, tools, cardboard, compost, wood chip, coffee grounds..
