6th Workshop and Symposium on Physics and Computation in Immunology
6th Workshop and Symposium on Physics and Computation in Immunology
We come together at PCI6 for the open exchange of ideas, freedom of thought and expression, and respectful scientific debate. This requires a community and an environment that recognizes and respects the inherent worth of every person. Because our meeting is small, most attendees will interact directly with senior colleagues, collaborators, and potential employers throughout the week; we take seriously the responsibility that comes with that closeness.
RESPONSIBILITY
All participants (attendees, organizers, speakers, session chairs, poster presenters, sponsors, and staff) agree to this Code as a condition of registration. It applies during the meeting and on official communication channels. Sponsors and exhibitors are equally subject to this Code. In particular, they should not use images, activities, or other materials of a sexual, racial, or otherwise offensive nature.
Organizers will enforce this Code, and all participants are expected to cooperate in maintaining a safe and inclusive environment.
POLICY
The conference commits to providing an experience free from:
Harassment, bullying, and discrimination, including offensive comments related to age, race, religion, color, gender (including gender identity and expression), sexual orientation, medical condition, disability, pregnancy, national origin or ancestry, career stage, or institutional affiliation; and intimidation, personal attacks, or unnecessary disruption of talks and other events.
Inappropriate or unprofessional behavior that interferes with another's full participation, including sexual harassment, stalking or following, harassing photography or recording, inappropriate physical contact, unwelcome attention, derogatory name-calling, and diminutive characterizations; use of sexual, racial, or otherwise offensive material in presentations, posters, during official virtual interactions, or exhibits; and disorderly or disruptive conduct including coercion, theft, or damage to property.
Scientific misconduct, including fabrication, falsification, or plagiarism in submissions, talks, posters, or demos.
Personal attacks or insults. Respectful critique of ideas, methods, and data is welcome and expected.
This Code applies at the conference venue and at all official conference events, including receptions, meals, and to official online spaces. The conference is not responsible for behavior at non-sponsored locations, but any concern brought to the Code of Conduct team will be considered, and we will assist where we can.
ACTION
If a participant engages in behavior prohibited by this Code, the organizing committee may take action as it deems appropriate, including an informal or formal warning, exclusion from specific sessions or events, cancellation of a scheduled talk or poster, expulsion from the conference, a bar from future meetings, reporting the incident to the person's institution or funding agency, or reporting to local authorities. Any organizing committee member who is the subject of a report, or who has a close professional or personal relationship with someone involved, will recuse themselves entirely from handling it. An appeal process may be made available to anyone subject to a sanction.
There will be no retaliation against any participant who brings a complaint in good faith or who assists in reviewing one.
COMPLAINT REPORTING
We encourage participants to report incidents of discrimination, harassment, unprofessional conduct, or retaliation promptly so they can be resolved quickly and fairly. Complaints will be handled as confidentially as possible, and information will be shared only with those who need it to reach a resolution. Reporters will not be pressured into any particular course of action.
The Code of Conduct team are:
Aleksandra Walczak, aleksandra.walczak@phys.ens.fr
Michael Lässig, mlaessig@uni-koeln.de
Both can be identified on site and reached by email.
Reports made during the conference will receive a response within 24 hours; reports made at other times, within two weeks. We are ready to help participants contact relevant support services, escort them to a safe location, adjust schedules or seating, or otherwise help anyone experiencing harassment feel safe for the duration of the meeting. Feedback on this policy is welcome at 2026pci@yale.edu
